37 Acre Farm in the NC Foothills. A 3,500 SF log home built in 1980 with 4

second floors have all pine floors, except for the second floor bedroom with
wall to wall carpet. All interior walls
on first and second floor are T&G pine.
External walls are exposed hewn log.
All interior doors are handmade Z-braced pine with old external
locksets. Great room has a 2-story cathedral
ceiling of pine boards over hewn log rafters.
Roof insulation is above the pine ceiling boards and covered by a metal
roof system installed in 1994. The great
room has a 2-story high stone fireplace.
A second floor loft overlooks the great room and leads to a bedroom with
access to two spacious storage areas.
The first floor consists of the great room, the dining area, the
kitchen, full bath, bedroom and the master bedroom suite. The master bedroom suite consists of the
bedroom with a stone fireplace and a full bath.
There is a finished basement with separate entrance, bedroom with wall
to wall carpet, office, full kitchen, pantry, full bath and family area that can
serve as second living quarters. The family area has a stone fireplace and the
kitchen has a wood stove with ductwork return to capture heat for distribution throughout the house. There are
wide, covered porches on the front and back that span the entire length of the
house. The front porch is screened with
natural landscaping that includes rhododendron, azaleas, butterfly bushes, silver bell bushes and holly, maple and oak trees. The
rear porch overlooks the rolling pasture leading down to Hunting Creek. All exposed foundation walls have stone veneer.
